Lila is a results-focused executive, strong business leader, and change champion who has been recognized for driving increased profitability and performance across diverse company cultures by envisioning and directing strategic improvement initiatives

She has worked alongside executives and leaders to optimize alignment with key organizational goals and advising them on how best to redistribute resources.

 

Over the last 25 years, Lila has worked in both for profit and not-for-profit sectors spanning various industries such as retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, health care, and higher education. She has used her unique skill set in the areas of human resources and organizational development to assist organizations undergoing both incremental and transformational change. Lila spent the first 9 years of her career in the operations side of the business before moving into the field of human resources. She honed her human resources technical skills as a Generalist/HR Practitioner and quickly became interested in organizational development due to her natural affinity and ability to understand the business. She spent 8 years as a Senior Manager of Human Resources managing multi-state HR practices for a billion-dollar B2B organization who experienced significant growth through mergers and acquisitions. From there she moved into executive human resources roles in the non-profit sector where she achieved a proven record of,

  • re-tooling and aligning the human resources department to support the strategic priorities of the organization;
  • recognizing integration opportunities to leverage organizational alignment; and
  • designing innovative or re-configuring strategic talent development programs that supported the organization’s strategy.

Lila formalized her talent viewpoint early on in her career and often states that, “People are the main ingredient to achieving business success”. She believes strongly that intentionality is key in developing and cultivating a talent driven organization. Lila is most passionate about working with executives and leaders to support their efforts in building capacity-rich, sustainable, change-adept, and effective organizations.

 

Lila received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Organizational Development, both from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. She acquired and has maintained her professional human resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute since 2001. As well, she holds a certification in Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) from the Human Capital Institute.  Lila has served as Chairperson on various Board of Directors and Steering Committees focused in the areas of early child care, secondary education, and health care.

She has been a speaker at various national conferences and is a contributing author of the popular book, Corporate Bold: What Every Corporate Professional Must Know! (June 2011, iUniverse, Incorporated).

The causes that Lila is most passionate about are children, education, civil rights, social justice, and economic empowerment. When Lila is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three adult children.
